Chapter Two!

Well it is hard to believe that 18 weeks ago I started this road..here we are onto chapter 2! This past Tuesday I had my final BIG round of chemo. I started the morning being greeted at the doors of the oncology center by a bunch of my dear Mommy friends and their children. It was quite a sight all with a bunch of flowers for me. It was such a nice gesture and a great way to celebrate the END of chapter 1 !

My day went well considering I had to still go to my appointments. Dr. is very pleased with response. My surgeon also feels positive about the chemo response to tumor. I will go in tomorrow for a mammogram and next Wednesday is my MRI. These tests will determine what surgery course we will take, which will occur in 3-4 weeks. Following surgery we will start radiation. So, meanwhile we continue to stay positive, eat healthy, drink LOTS of H2O and pray.

Thanks for all the PMA (positive mental attitude)...keep it coming. Lets hope this darn tumor has shrunk away!!!

  1. Dear Jeanne. This must be so hard for you - I am sorry. Nevertheless I am glad to read that chemo is over and that the side effects were not so hard on you other than the hair loss (BTW you look lovely with the wig - it really is not that different from your own hair - is it hard to wear? hot?). I hope you have the least bad days posible in the next stages of treatment. I cannot imagine what you are feeling but it is nice to see you are looking at the blessings. Yoiur PMA is contagious. I send you a big hug with lots of love. Prima Adrienne
